It may have kept you dry by keeping out the rain, but if you were doing any exercise at all it made you sweat! This was because the fabric was waterproof, but not breathable – it kept the rain out, but it also kept the sweat in. This is also how it used to be for horses before the Rambo Turnout was developed. Using AquaTrans coating technology, the Rambo Turnout was the first blanket that was fully waterproof AND breathable. This means that your horse is protected from the rain, yet any perspiration produced by his skin is allowed to escape through the rug and into the atmosphere, keeping him comfortable.
